Kosher restaurants in Marrakech
Where to eat kosher in Marrakech: the kosher restaurants of Guéliz (Chez Abehssera, Dar Ima, Wasabi, Al Dente), rue de Yougoslavie. Check the certificate. Alternative: the villa table with JKECH.
Kosher restaurants in Marrakech are few but well located, in Guéliz, near the Beth El synagogue. My Property Marrakech goes round them, and explains the alternative: the kosher table at the villa.
Chez Abehssera
24 rue de Yougoslavie, Guéliz. The Moroccan table many families mention: tagines, grills, couscous, cooked salads. Simple atmosphere, quick service, handy for lunch after synagogue or the souks. Check the displayed certificate before sitting down.

Dar Ima
Guéliz. An emblematic kosher restaurant of Jewish-Moroccan cuisine, traditional and contemporary: dafina, fish chermoula, pastries. An address for a family dinner in town, to book during festivals.

Wasabi
17 rue de Yougoslavie. Kosher Japanese and Asian cuisine: sushi, maki, stir-fries, eat in or take away. Useful when the children want something other than a tagine. Check kashrut on the day.

Al Dente
Rue de Yougoslavie, opposite Wasabi. Dairy Italian: pasta, pizza, salads, desserts. Handy for lunch in town without committing the week. The community mentions a kashrut linked to the Beth Din of Casablanca: read the displayed certificate.

The alternative: the kosher table at the villa
Four restaurants do not make a week’s holiday. Most of our families alternate: one or two dinners in town, and kosher full board at the villa the rest of the time, Shabbat included.

Frequently asked questions
Are kosher restaurants open on Shabbat?
No. Friday night and Saturday, meals are taken at the villa or apartment: JKECH delivers Shabbat meals on Friday.
Do we need to book?
During festivals and French and Israeli school holidays, yes. We can book for you.
Which kashrut do these restaurants have?
It is displayed in each establishment and can change. We tell you what the local community frequents, but the certificate of the day remains the reference.
Are there kosher restaurants in the medina?
No, they are in Guéliz. For lunch in the medina, plan a kosher packed lunch prepared by our kitchen.
