Jewish wedding in Marrakech
Organising a Jewish wedding in Marrakech: private estate for the chuppah and reception, kosher caterer, guest accommodation, Shabbat chatan, bar mitzvah. Coordinated by JKECH.
A Jewish wedding in Marrakech with My Property Marrakech: a private estate for the chuppah in the garden and dinner under the stars, a kosher caterer, and bedrooms so the families stay together all weekend.
The venue: a private estate
The right estate has it all: a garden for the chuppah, a terrace for the cocktail, a hall or patio for dinner, room to dance without neighbours, and bedrooms for parents and grandparents. We rule out houses that are too tight.

Ceremony and reception
Chuppah set in the garden, orientation and timing agreed with the rabbi, kabbalat panim, bedeken. Then cocktail, seated dinner or buffet, band or DJ, Moroccan entertainment (negafa, henna) if you wish. We do not replace the rabbi: we hold the venue, the schedule and the suppliers.

- Chuppah in the garden, floral decoration, sound
- Kosher cocktail and dinner by a partner caterer
- DJ, band, Moroccan entertainment
- Photographer, videographer, florist, hair and make-up at the villa
The kosher caterer
JKECH coordinates kosher caterers in Marrakech used to weddings: SK Events (Sandra Kakon), SELAH26, ElaCooking for bakery and pastry. Tasting before the big day, level of kashrut set with you and the rabbi, certificate provided.

Shabbat chatan, henna, bar mitzvah
A wedding in Marrakech often lasts a weekend: henna evening on Thursday, wedding on Sunday, and Shabbat chatan in between, on the estate, with services on site and Shabbat meals for all guests. Same principle for a bar or bat mitzvah: Torah reading at Beth El or on the estate, then reception at the villa.

The guests
Airport transfers, neighbouring villas or Guéliz apartments for guests, kosher meals for those arriving the day before, excursion programme for free days. You give us the list, we handle the logistics.

Frequently asked questions
How far ahead?
Ideally 8 to 12 months for a wedding, 3 to 6 months for a bar mitzvah. Estates go early in spring and autumn.
Is a wedding in Marrakech recognised?
The religious ceremony is celebrated by your rabbi. For the civil marriage, most couples marry in their own country before or after. We point you in the right direction.
Can we have a band and dance late?
Yes in private estates without close neighbours; it is one of our selection criteria.
What if it rains?
It rarely rains in Marrakech, but every estate we propose has a covered fallback (hall, patio, tent).
